William Kerridge Weatherly, son of Benjamin and Dora Weatherly, was one of 4 brothers from Pine Hill Alabama who served our country during World War II. After induction into the United States Navy, he served almost four years on active duty status. Following an Honorable Discharge in December 1945 as Pharmacist’s Mate First Class, he was placed with the United States Naval Reserve under a V6, General Service and Specialists classification. He went on to earn a degree in Pharmacy, under the GI Bill, from Howard College in Birmingham, Alabama (now Samford University). He worked many years as a Registered Pharmacist with the Veterans Administration in Montgomery, Alabama. William Weatherly is buried in the Veterans section of Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery Alabama.
